LF a Rihannsu reboot beta

I need a beta for a 15k-word Reboot fic that is (sort of) Rihannsu.  I say "sort of" because despite having Ael in it, and having re-read the Rihannsu books, I really don't know how well I have captured the feel of the culture.  Any help with that would be appreciated.  Also, the story feels kind of forced, so I really need a second opinion on that.

If you don't need an immediate turn-around, I'd be glad to volunteer. I love the Rihannsu books, although I haven't read them too recently, may have to freshen up with some discreet wikipedia-ing…

It's for a ficathon due June 4th (trekreversebang). It's not quite finished; it's at 12k words now, and I estimate three more scenes for a finished word count of about 15-20k. But I'd like to get some feedback on what I have, so that if changes need to be made I have time to do them, and if that affects how the story ends, that's good to know before I write the ending. Also, there are a lot of places where there are missing names and such because I haven't taken the time to either make up names or check what they are in the books.

Hey, that's okay. It's actually not Ael-fic; it's (partly) about her niece, the one who (in original canon) got deceived by Kirk and Spock and disgraced. Ael appears, as does Tafv, and the niece (I'm using the non-Rihannsu name for her and shoving it into Rihannsu naming conventions) is the first officer for a real idiot commander who wants a war with the Federation. There are also Starfleet captains who want a war, so there's plotting and intrigue. And I know the plot and what has to happen, but the writing is the problem.
